I am Yiming and I'm a graphic and performance designer. I love to create "long-term" and "story-telling" large scale maximalist projects comprised of many components. I use humour in my designs to explore the complexity of the human condition with a futuristic focus. I also focus on moving image-based screen work. My work often carries an ironic tone and draws from intensive research, merging graphic elements with critical narratives. In the field of performance design, I dig deep into the hearts of the characters to create matching set designs.
Macbeth creates a space for designs that shows how people get insanity when they have desire of power and ambition.
The stage will be held in a dusty and rough setting with a background rooted in American Western culture, in contrast to the original Scotland. Placing Macbeth's story in the context of the cowboy of the American West brings a strong cultural and emotional contrast, but it is through this contrast that the viewer is able to see the universality of desire, power, destiny, and human nature.
Macbeth gives a great idea about human nature. Even in this kind of free world background, people cannot escape fate.
The stage is set in a rough bar located in a wild western town, creating a style that feels harsh, hostile, and dangerous. The story begins with several people who, drunk in this setting, make chaos.
