Responding to Butker’s controversial 2023 graduation speech, the publication, specifically calls out and twists his statement calling pride month a “deadly sin... that has an entire month dedicated to it. Sharing events, spaces, services and venues across the city, helping connect members of the LGBTIQ+ community around Melbourne.

Word In Space and Time 'Exploring colour, letterforms and the layering of hidden words'

Utilising printing on tracing paper, the project explores how the layering of pages with varying elements and colours can create captivating and modifiable imagery from various letterforms created from pieces of text.

Circular Thinking: Tony Clark at Buxton

The collages are inspired by the notion of “theatrical staging”, as explored by Tony Clark in his own work. Each collage is developed as an portrait individual to each figure. The abstracted and unique responses to each individual create a hypothetical story behind each of their photos.

Branding 'Midsumma Festival'

Rebranding for the Midsumma Festival, the new branding is fresh, vibrant, bold and loud. Incorporating bubbly rounded shapes to create an organic and playful feel with a larger series of brand colours to ensure it is eye catching and engaging for viewers.

Exploring a broad range of analogue and digital typographic methods, each piece of text is carefully chosen and compiled to create an engaging and visually interesting page where these words may not be decipherable.

Type Specimen 'Area', by Matthieu Salvaggio

Conveying the versatility and simple elegance of this typeface, in conjunction with its architecture inspiration, it’s presented in the format of architectural drawings/documents. Illustrating the Bezier curves, linework and technical aspects of the letterforms in place of architectural drawings, helps back to the underpinning notions of the typeface's design.

Journey Through Colour A-B

Through the duration of the assignment, each day for 31 days a collage was constructed. From there a colour was sampled and attached to the flip side of the collage to illustrate a journey through colour. Each collage was carefully considered and made to be engaging and eye catching.
