Sinking Jakarta

This project addresses the urgent crisis of my hometown: Jakarta — and its rapid submersion, revealing the impacts and implications for its citizens and heritage. Through an informative newspaper, posters, photographs, and videos, it raises awareness and invites reflection on Jakarta’s fragile future as the world’s fastest-sinking city.

The project is also cultivated in the form of a water-soluble newspaper, capturing the fragile existence of Jakarta’s future. As the printed page dissolves in water, it symbolises the city’s history and heritage slipping away—an urgent, poignant reminder of Jakarta’s vulnerability as rising waters threaten to erase centuries of legacy.

Love Letter

A satirical project responding to Harrison Butker's claim about women being homemakers. Through postcards highlighting women inventors who balanced motherhood with groundbreaking careers, including his own mother, this series was conceptualised to be sent to his address. It reveals the irony of his words, urging respect for women’s own choices.
